Welcome to the Utah Midwives Organization! A community for midwives created and nurtured by connection & education.

Our Mission.

The Utah Midwives Organization (UMO) is a non-profit organization created by midwives, for midwives. Our mission is to preserve the unique legacy of Utah midwifery, invest in learning, build a culture of community, and promote professional relationships of trust and respect. The UMO provides unique opportunities for members to engage in peer reviews, annual conferences, quarterly trainings on relevant, evidence-based topics, and so much more. We strive to provide the community and connection so many midwives yearn for.

A community for midwives.

The UMO continuously gathering our members' feedback about what they want and need from our membership. The message is loud and clear – a sense of community! We have taken this to heart and we are creating new opportunities for networking with other midwives, and providing group trainings where midwives collaborate with each other. With so many midwives working in solo practices, this work can feel isolating. We want to bridge that gap and take community midwifery to the next level.
