Many midwives work in isolation without the opportunity to meet others who understand the unique challenges of our job. Doing this work without access to people that you can turn to for collaboration, consultation, candid conversations/processing, or people to back you up during your on-call periods is unsustainable. When you join the UMO you will have access to midwives from all over the state that understand the ins and outs of midwifery.
